Jason Hitt lives for stunts and thrills. Lately, his mother has been treating him like he is a criminal because that's the way he's been acting. When one of his bike stunts goes wrong, his mother loses it. She decides to send him to Iowa to live with his estranged father and his step-family. His summer in Iowa starts off hot, boring, and miserable. Jason can't shake the anger he feels toward his father. But when he finds out that his stepbrother John is an awesome motocross rider, and he takes his first ride on a real motorcycle, things start to change. Can motocross really help him forget the past? Will he survive the giant triple step-up jump?
