The Tale of Sum Bunny
Lydia Chorpening
Paperback
(Launch!, Nov. 15, 2015)
As you read this story of a whimsical stuffed bunny rabbit who discounted his self-worth based on his feelings, you will be able to infuse Biblical concepts into your child's mind. You can hold his attention as he colors his own pictures. Each page contains a portion of the story, a memory verse, and an inspirational impression of the reality of God's love, the benefits of making right choices, and the esteem of self-worth. Two published books previously written by Lydia Chorpening, Bigger Than Impossible and Beyond the Colorful Coat, are available online. The Tale of Sum Bunny is her first published children's story and coloring book. About The Author As a young girl, Lydia Chorpening seriously wanted to be an artist. She doodled on every scrap of paper and with any nubbin pencil she could lay her hands on. Being raised by strict Amish parents, she was told she would never use art in her life. She felt that being a mother and homemaker were the only choices she had, and God-forbid that she should ever be an old maid! She has been married to Russell for 46 years and is a mother to three daughters, and a grandmother to eleven grandchildren. The desire to do artistic work has never left her. Life has not afforded her many opportunities to study art, so she is basically self-taught. The pictures in this coloring book were inspired by a soft, stuffed bunny which she snitched from one of her daughter's yard sales. Mrs. Chorpening felt inspired to draw him at various angles, and with that was birthed the inspiration for this heart-touching, and meaningful story.
