Against all odds and against the adversity of Chief Egbo and the Old Witch Esusemilore, Cindy finally returned to the United States from Haiti, safe and sound. She even came back with Soleil, the woman she saved and befriended in Haiti who ultimately was responsible for her introduction to Sea Goddess Jamanda. They are now all living, relaxing and taking a long deserved break at Cindy's big family home where she grew up in North Carolina, along with Faith and Hope, Soleil's twin daughters. Cindy is still waiting for Jamanda's promises to come to pass so she may have children of her own. But Jamanda, like all Gods and Goddesses, has many enemies, adversaries, rivals and foes. And they are vicious and deadly. Some of them are determined to see to it that Cindy will never bear or give birth to Jamanda's children. They swore it. And they will do anything and everything within their magical and wizardly powers to prevent it and stop it.In this chapter of the "Jamanda's Children" series, the enemies of Jamanda sent the laba-laba woman from Addis Ababa to take Cindy's life and deliver her soul and spirit in their hands so she may never have the children of Jamanda and add to their list of nemeses, worries and sleepless nights. Will the laba-laba woman succeed? Will Goddess Jamanda sit idly by and watch her archenemies take the life of her protégée Cindy that she pledged a lifetime of her divine protection to after the two sealed a sacred covenant at the beach at night in Haiti where Jamanda even came out of the water? How will Goddess Jamanda react to the mission of the laba-laba woman?
