Sergeant Wood investigates the matter, but when he draws a blank he seeks the help of his friend, Detective Davis, who is happy to assist with the case. But on the day that Davis arrives, a second person goes missing, deepening the mystery. And when a third person disappears, the police know that they have the potential for a serious crime on their hands. Jack Thomson, one of the party, then comes forward and explains that all three of the disappearances had happened in a manner similar to the one described by him on his paranormal TV show. When Davis discovers that Thomson had arrived at the resort with his mistress, who is now also missing, and that his wife had arrived just before the first person disappeared, it seems like they have a strong suspect. But even if Thomson’s wife was responsible, why would she have kidnapped four people? The answers are there, lying beneath a sordid veneer of fame, greed and adultery. It’s up to Davis and Wood to get to the bottom of it.
