The ABC's I Want My Grandkids To Know
Grandma Smith
Paperback
(Independently published, Aug. 8, 2017)
As a parent, I could hardly wait for the milestones to begin - crawling, walking, talking – it was so exciting to capture each child's firsts! Therefore, now as a grandma watching over my grandchildren’s first beginnings, it has also been just as rewarding. However, due to building up my strong faith in Christ Jesus through the years, I wanted to ensure a more prominent “first” in introducing the “good news” at the earliest of ages for each of them. My adult children still will recall their memories of being introduced to Christ and the church fellowship at an early age and they continue to make connections back to their faith in times of blessings and struggles. “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6). Developed within these pages are Scriptures along with objectives for your child to read, recite with added repetition for memorization – in hopes that they will remember during their times of strengths and challenges. Planting “a spiritual seed” that will harvest a life full of joy, peace, and encouragement is something that all parents should be inspired to developing within their child’s early life achievements. “And all thy children shall be taught of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of thy children” (Isaiah 54:13). And what is a better way to show this growth, but through each letter of the alphabet – a source that a child can recognize and can easily identify with while having fun and using their ingenuity, and best of all – will stay with them for the rest of their lives! The development of a child’s brain can reveal how and when a child learns. The following is quoted from a legitimate study: “From birth, a baby’s brain cells proliferate wildly, making connections that may shape a lifetime of experience. The first three years are critical” (J. Madeleine Nash, “Fertile Minds,” Time, 3 Feb. 1997, 49). Illustrations supported from Microsoft Office Word cliparthttp://insertmedia.office.microsoft.com
