The year 2020 has been emotional for everyone in one way or another. The world is experiencing grief and loss in ways no one could have ever imagined. Adults are struggling and trying to cope with the devastation of COVID-19, while children are suffering in unimaginable ways as well. COVID-19 has united shared grief amongst young and old, rich and poor, men and women, and every nationality. Mrs. Sweetie Bee and Me was written to validate and unite every grieving heart especially the heart of a child while reinforcing the realization that in time, things will get better especially if you are lucky to have someone in your life like Mrs. Sweetie Bee. Mrs. Sweetie Bee and Me is intended to be read as a read-aloud to young children to help them understand and cope with death. With a mature tone, this book deals with death by acknowledging it and allowing a child to understand that it is fine to experience all the emotions associated with losing a loved one. Older children may find comfort in knowing that they are not alone in their feelings of grief and that it is okay to cry on someone's shoulder, especially if that comforting person is willing to nurture a grieving heart. With the vivid images photographed by the author, and the delicious recipe created and baked by the author, this book will make you cry, smile, sing, dance, and bake.
