You will find this book a strange thing; it is 90% diary entries with a few pieces I wrote at other times. These were handwritten every day....My aim in publishing this is to share this account of my thoughts with professionals, those struggling themselves and loved ones of those who are struggling. I donโt believe my experience is unique in any way, but the fact Iโve documented it so continuously may be slightly unique. I hope that it is a useful insight to all of you.
This is a real life story based on diary entries written over 8 years by a young British woman as she navigates her way through the trials of a turbulent childhood and subsequent severe mental health problems. The aim of the author is to give readers (professionals, carers and sufferers) a glimpse into the mind of a young person with mental health problems as well as to inspire hope that change is possible.
