The liberality of the Religious Tract Society has enabled us,to give no less than forty of these really beautiful illustrations, and I cannot feel too grateful to them for having thus assisted me. For the making-of those drawings has been a labour 'of love, Mr. Carreras having brought all his artistic knowledge to back up and reproduce my recollections of the attitudes of the various creatures, and the result is to me most gratifying.
