    language (, Sept. 9, 2019)
Brief Summary by Julie Heginbotham: Whilst running away from Mr Goon, Pip turns into the grounds of an empty house and climbs a tree, hoping he won't be seen. The tree is easy to climb and is close by the old empty house. Once high enough, and level with the window of the house, Pip is surprised to see that the room not only has bars at the window, but it is fully furnished. The Find-Outers embark on an exciting mystery as they try to discover who owns the house, and why is the room fully furnished. A mystery that stretches even Fatty's brain, when he finds himself captured in that very room!

You’re still twelve, Pip, so I’m only three years behind you now.”“When are the others coming?” asked Pip, looking at the clock. “I told them tocome early. Fatty’s not here yet.”A loud barking outside sent Bets to the window again. “It’s Buster - andFatty,” she said. “Oh, good! Fatty looks plumper than ever!”In half a minute Fatty and Buster were in the playroom, Fatty looking verysleek and pleased with himself, and Buster bursting with excitement. He flewat everyone and licked them thoroughly.“Hallo, Buster dear!” said Bets. “Oh, Fatty, Buster’s got thin and you’ve gotfat.”“Well, Fatty won’t be any thinner after Christmas,” said Larry, settling downat the table. “Brought some cards to finish, Fatty? I’ve just about workeddown my list.”Larry and Daisy were brother and sister. Fatty was an only child, alwaysrather pleased with himself, and Buster was his faithful companion.
