Joey is a young kangaroo who finds himself sitting on a branch of a Christmas tree. He's homesick for his family and friends back home in his native land of Australia. He shivers and shakes and hides behind branches as he surveys the tree and the rest of the ornaments. Suddenly, he hears a gruff voice and turns to see McDuff, a Scottie dog, standing behind him. They talk for a while and McDuff tells Joey that he understands how he feels as he was in the same position a few years ago when he arrived from Scotland. He begs Joey to give the group a chance as they are friendly and lots of fun. Eventually, McDuff talks Joey into joining in the group merriment which is in full swing underneath the tree. Santa appears and announces that it's Rudolph's night off and he needs volunteers to help deliver presents to the children of the world. The two friends are soon flying over the rooftops alongside Santa on their way around the world.
