The story concerns Nik Kolherne, who aids in a kidnapping to win a new face to replace his scarred one. He gets his new face and fights to free the kidnapped boy -- and himself -- from the Thieves Guild. - The action ends with a rousing battle on a planet of outlaws.... It is a rattling good adventure story which should be relished by science-fiction buffs of all ages.

Here is the 191 pg presumed 1st Edition later printing hardcover by Andre Norton from Harcourt, Brace and World Inc., and copyrighted 1964. This sci-fi novel involves warring factions on an outlaw planet and subplot featuring Nik Kolherne who gets involved in a kidnapping with the motive to replace his scarred face with that of his victim. The former library book has the usual evidence of ownership/retirement and is missing the original dust cover though it does have a clear mylar covering. The blue reinforced and illustrated boards are straight and new looking with only minor evidence of rub given the mylar protection. Inside, the pages are clean, tear free and the binding is sound.
