Grams and the girls find their new home wondrous but challenging. They find unique ways to cope while the Elves and Dwarves are busy with plans to rescue the Salient Humans. As plans were formed, another threat to their family come to light and an immediate rescue is needed. Grams, Rachel and Anna defy their mates and set out on the adventure of a lifetime to rescue their family from the Gralix realm. Darshak, Endel, Curmudgin and other members of the planned rescue team, follow the ladies into the Gralix realm to ensure they come to no harm. Following the resolution of this interaction, the rescue of the Salients was of foremost importance. However, the rescue team had no way of knowing that the Gralix also had plans for the extraction of the Salients. The interaction between the Humans, Elves, Dwarves and Gralix pose challenges that all had planned for, with some having been more creative in their preparations than others. The brutality of the encounters escalate into all out war.
