They come to learn that the "dreams" that Tia has had since childhood about two people from Morrow named Ashira and Varas are not dreams at all. After they are compelled to leave the Base when Rabbit defends Tia by psychically killing one of the "Fathers," they journey cross-country to meet up with the Morrowans and be taken to LIFESPAN, the protected retreat of the descendants of a society preserved by SImon Morrow hundreds of years before.
