Trifles From a Tourist: In Letters From Abroad
Russell James Colman
Paperback
(Forgotten Books, )
Excerpt from Trifles From a Tourist: In Letters From AbroadThe following Letters were written to me by my son Russell, during his trip round the world (188 5 - 6) in which he was accompanied by his friends J. Alexander Harmer, of Norwich, and James R. Roberts, of London, and in the course of which he visited the United States, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, China, Japan, Ceylon, and Egypt. These Letters were written without the shadow of an idea that they would ever be printed. The suggestion, however, was made to me that they should be put in type for private circulation, and my husband and I felt it a pleasure to accede to it, as it will enable many of our friends to share, to some extent, in the enjoyment of this globe-trot.About the PublisherForgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
