Clary has been taken to the safety of her homeland, the land of the Fae, Seelie. Angry at her escape, the Unseelie turn their attentions to Sam, Clary's best friend on Earth, and it is only his quick-wittedness that saves his life. Whilst in hiding, Sam discovers that Clary is missing and embarks on the adventure of a lifetime in a bid to find her.
