A knowledge of how to use carpenters tools properly and how to make simple articles from lumber will never come amiss, and there is scarcely a man, woman or boy who at one time or another has not had occasion to use some sort of carpenters tool. It may seem a very sim[)le matter to use a saw, hammer, screw-driver or other similar tool, but nine times out of ten the amateur does not use such tools properly.
