  • Flower Children

    Elizabeth Gordon

    eBook (, Sept. 26, 2014)
All children are flowers in the garden of God’s love. A flower is the mystical counterpart of a child. To the understanding heart a child is a flower and a flower is a child. God made flowers on the day that He made the world beautiful. Then He gave the world children to play amid the flowers. God has implanted in the breasts of children a natural love for flowers—and no one who keeps that love in his heart has entirely forsaken the land of childhood. In preparing this book the author and the artist have attempted to show the kinship of children and flowers—and it is their hope that the little ones into whose hands this volume comes will find herein the proof that their knowledge of what flowers really are is true and that their love for the friendly blossoms is returned many-fold.To you, then, little child-flowers, this book is lovingly offered as an expression of thankfulness to children for the joy and sweetness with which they have filled my life.

Elizabeth Gordon, M.T. Moss, Rita Nygaard

    eBook (, March 20, 2018)
This is the most popular of all the children's books by Elizabeth Gordon, illustrated by M. T. Moss. It was published early 20th century, with wonderful drawings of all the flowers we know, drawn as little children as well.I have restored all the illustrations very carefully, and I have fallen in love with all. Please take a look inside the book to see these charming drawings and the funny and educational poems that comes with them all.We see the flowers in the natural order, from early spring to winter and Christmas.Did I say that I love them all? I do, especially after working with each and every one of them for hours - but I must admit I have a couple of favorites!I love the drawing of the Pussy Willows, with the puffy little kittens on the branches - and what about the drawing of the Wild Rose? To me it is everything childhood and fantasy and flowers is all about.

The complete books are then tested on a number of devices to be sure formatting and links hold true to what is intended.
