  • The Land of Long Ago

Eliza Calvert Hall, Laughing Loon Books, Levi Harry Soucy

Paperback (CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform, Dec. 28, 2013)
I read a 1909 hardback edition I found on ebay. This book has more humorous and touching stories by Aunt Jane of Kentucky told to her niece. At one point I thought, "I wish I had an aunt like Aunt Jane," and then I realized I did. I had my beloved Great Aunt Maude, also from the South, who told me wonderful stories about herself and our family. Hall's writing is exquisite and it's a shame libraries don't carry her books any longer. - Linda on goodreads
