EXPLORERS ON THE MOON is the seventeenth of The Adventures of Tintin, the comics series by Belgian artist, Hergé. Published in 1954, it continues the story begun in the preceding title, DESTINATION MOON. This early English translation is one of the first Tintin books published in the United States. The American editions of Tintin were the first to adopt a spine with lettering (Casterman and Methuen editions had a cloth spine with no lettering). Because of disappointing sales, Golden Press decided to stop publishing the series after six titles. 62 pp.
