  • A Giant Problem

    Holly Black, Tony DiTerlizzi

Hardcover (Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers, Aug. 16, 2008)
Talk about out of the frying pan, into the fire! I was pretty sure that my freaky stepsister and that freaky field guide of hers would ruin my life. But now it looks like they're going to ruin all of Florida, too! Okay, maybe that's not fair. Maybe all these stupid giants would be waking up anyway, but if it wasn't for her and that book, I'd be home playing video games and this would be someone else's giant problem!

  • Giant Problem

    Holly Black

    Hardcover (Simon & Schuster Children's, Oct. 6, 2008)
Nick and Laurie have a giant problem and it's a lot bigger than they originally thought. When Taloa sent them off to find her sisters, they discovered a single fire breathing giant, but as it turns out, that one giant is just the tip one the proverbial iceberg. According to NoSeeum Jack, the blind giant killer who helped Nick, Laurie, and Jared dispatch the original giant, there are hundreds, possibly even thousands of giants underneath the surface waiting to wake up. And since Taloa refuses to give any assistance until her sisters are located, the kids turn to a kingdom of merfolk for helpโ€ฆ which inevitably means that there's trouble on the way!
