After being a little girl's favorite friend, Cantankerous Cat is none too pleased when the cheerful Bear arrives, and Bear suffers a few mysterious mishaps before Cat has a change of heart and realizes that there is enough love for both of them.

Bear arrives in a big red box for the child's birthday, and the child loves him immediately. Cat, used to coming first in the child's affections, is unimpressed, and tries all sorts of tricks to stop child loving bear. Then one day, bear disappears and only Cat can help.
