Mrs Goat and Her Seven Little Kids
Tony Ross
Paperback
(Andersen Press, Jan. 1, 2004)
When Mrs Goat leaves her kids to go shopping, she specifically warns them not to let in the hungry wolf—but the wolf overhears her. He pretends to be Mrs Goat returning, and asks to be let in. He gobbles up all but one—the littlest kid escapes and tells his mother what has happened when she returns. She roars in anger, and butts the wolf until all her kids have shot out of his mouth, and then she sends him right over the trees and away for ever.
