Reminiscent, of the children's story, The Littlest Christmas Tree, Douglas is sure to delight. The pen and ink drawings may be colored in by the child who receives this book so that it is their own personal copy --- or perhaps by a grandparent or parent. Sometimes we just have to wait for things to unfold.....

Paperback (CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform, Oct. 2, 2013)
Douglas is the delightful story of a little fir tree who is stranded in a less accessible part of the forest and does so want to be a Christmas Tree. Everyone attempts to help him move to lower ground where people are removing trees to take home, but poor Douglas is left behind. In the surprise ending to the story, he is discovered and finds his dearest wish fulfilled, but the best part of the story is reading it and watching the tale unfold through the many illustrations. The story is a lesson in patience and perseverence as well as having a dream. It also speaks to being the kind of person that people want to help. All of these are qualities that we want to encourage in our children.
