Story about Stan's first day on the job as the new garbage man. He is very happy. The first piece of trash he finds is a horseshoe made of flowers, with a ribbon on it that says "Best of Luck to Emily". It is much to pretty to throw away, so Stan hangs it on the front of his garbage truck. All day long people admire the cheerful-looking garbage truck named Emily. All day long, Stan saves things instead of putting them in the chewer-upper. Soon the entire garbage truck is stacked high with items from the trash--Stan the garbage man doesn't want to put anything in the garbage! Ages 4 to 8
