Other editions of book Turning Points in History

This Guide has been written to give you ideas for how the "Turning Points in History" series of books can be used in the teaching of South African History in the National Curriculum Statement Grades 10-12 (General). The Guide does not replace either a textbook or the History curriculum document of the NCS, and it is important to use "Turning Points" in conjunction with them.

The series was created to be used in teaching South African history in the national curriculum statement grades 10 - 12. It comprises six titles and a teacher's guide, housed in a study. Each volume focuses on a dynamic and significant phase in South Africa's history: ancient civilisations and global trade; the impact and limitations of colonialism; migration, land and minerals in the making of South Africa; industrialisation, rural change and nationalism; people, places and apartheid and negotiation, transition and freedom.
