This has now been done, and the author hopes that the book will be as cordially welcomed as was the earlier work.In its preparation many volumes dealing with the subject have been laid under contribution. Newspaper and magazine articles have been drawn upon freely. Of his indebtedness to all these the author here makes due acknowledgment.
