The character takes on my wife's hair style and color, her eye color, and the things my wife loved to do as a child. In this book Ellen Star is not in school and wants to go to the beach for fun and play. Ellen Star's mother has her to do certain chores before taking her to the beach. Ellen Star also uses good manners in this adventurous book.
