The boy keeps having bad dreams. How can he make them go away? A boy is naughty and scolded by his parents. He runs away into a forest where he is content except for being awakened every night by a bad dream. Despite his several childish efforts to evade the dream, it does not go away. He comes upon a beautiful maiden and asks for her help, but she misleads him and creates a scarier dream. Then he comes upon a queen and asks for her assistance, but she leaves him with a nightmare. Finally, he comes upon an old woman and asks for her help. At first, she tempts him with the same false remedies, but by now the boy has learned from his mistakes and refuses them. Impressed with his new maturity, she aids him in finding a path away from the bad dream. The story is intended for children ages 4-8 and has 20 illustrations.
