I loved this book as a child, and being of Blackfoot heritage this book was special to me! My son is in first grade and I bought this book hoping that he would love it too! He loved it! And has been interested in Native American culture since reading the book. It has opened up a whole new interest in his own heritage, and I am excited to share it with him. He could also relate to Little Gopher, the boy in the story who had unique gifts and talents to share with his people. Such a great children's book to share with all children! H-23
