Paperback (CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform, June 9, 2018)
Puzzle World - Call Me Oatmeal takes its theme directly from Moby Dick. The main characters spend the pages of this anthology chasing their own white whale in their own unique way. Zeke is 4, somewhere on the autism spectrum and is jealous of the relationship his younger brother has with his teddy bear. Edgar is 2 and highly impulsive. They represent elements of who I am as an obsessive recluse and an impulsive creative type who is often missing somewhere in some imaginary universe. This glimpse into their interpretation of the world around them is a fantasy, of course. Toddlers don’t read Melville. Their adventures hunting the nefarious bear and the secret cache of cookies, are merely translations of their observations, and in turn, a view inside my own unique consciousness. Thank you for reading. I truly appreciate you taking the time to look at (and perhaps purchase) this book. Life is short, live it well.
