  • Hinder's Promise

    Michael Blackthorne

Hardcover (Crimson Werewolf Limited, June 27, 2011)
Eleven-year-old Edmond Spencer was the only normal human living in the Thystlewicke School for Vampires. His mother was a vampire but his father was a normal, just like Edmond. His father was also a vampire-hunter. Considering that Edmond's mother was a vampire-hunter hunter, that made the vampire Council very, very angry. To make matters worse, Edmond didn't have very many friends at the school, not with his father being a vampire-hunter and his mother a traitor, and so his best-friend, a thirteen-year-old vampire named Crichton, hired the elephant-headed Hinder, an intra-dimensional immortal, to protect Edmond from vampire-kind. But when Edmond's Porta-dim exploded, trapping his friend Neela inside a shadow dimension, Edmond found himself racing against time to save her. And he had to break all the vampires' rules to do it. The problem was, he would have to pit immortal against vampire, threatening a treaty which had been in place for thousands of years. Hinder was the key to keeping Edmond alive and he was the key to rescuing Neela, but when the immortal disappeared to meet with the queen of the immortals, would Hinder's promise be enough?
