Deer are the largest animals that make their homes near humans. They are also some of the fastest -- a deer can leap 10 feet (3 m) in the air and run more than 35 miles (56 km) per hour.
Beavers are amazing builders that construct sturdy dams and lodges. Their sharp teeth and nimble hands and feet help them chop down trees and drag them into the water. Beavers can build dams that stretch 300 feet (92 m) across a river!
