  • What I Want to Be

    Donna S Nanna

Paperback (Christian Faith Publishing, Inc., March 29, 2016)
What I Want to Be started out as a prayer, and then became a declaration, over my three children. My two oldest children, Kayla and Bradley, are in college, and my youngest son, Luke, is a sophomore in high school. I was literally praying over their future careers one morning when the Holy Spirit revealed to me that it didn't matter what career any of them chose, but that the most important thing was that they chose to walk with God in that career. I immediately knew this prayer/declaration was to be a book for all children, and out of obedience to Him came What I Want to Be. Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. (Colossians 3:23, NLT)

  • What I want to be is.........

    Peggy Tsokas, Iren Moshtagh

Paperback (CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform, Dec. 16, 2016)
Children foster interests early on in life. These interests become an important element in their development from a learning perspective but also as they relate to children feeling meaningful, skillful, and content. Interests are also related to children’s educational and academic wellbeing. When kids develop interests and talents they are more likely to do well academically especially when their interests become enjoyable. Children feel competent and they become motivated to continue. Therefore, interests can become a motivational force and the means to unleash children’s inner potential. Once motivated they continue with this interest naturally. Cultivation of interests can be through different exposures, an introduction to reading, drawing, a concert, a library, a museum, a play, a program etc. “What I want to be is...” illustrates in young children’s terms what people do and the reasons behind. The book attempts to tap into those natural curiosities and children’s imagination with the intention of educating young children on various interests and careers helping them through the example of others.

What I Want to Be was written for those who dream. I remember being a kid and dreaming about what I would want to be, and I thought this would be a nice way for kids to imagine their dreams becoming true.
