  • But God's Word Says...Creation

    Rebekah Williamson, Kendall Pope

Paperback (Dog Ear Publishing, LLC, April 3, 2012)
God did not just give me a book to write, but a concept for a series that I truly believe will help children identify and understand the difference in Biblical truths and "worldly" teachings. I wrote the first book last year after my, then, 6 year old son began asking questions about dinosaurs and their origin. Even at 6 years old, even with his many hours of Biblical teachings, he was already being indoctrinated with the world's philosophy of creation. I wanted to find a book that would expose him to what some people will teach him and counter each teaching with a But God's Word Says... truth! I couldn't find such book. So, I decided to write one. I hope to be releasing 2 more books in this series over the next year. I have a heart to share absolute truths found in the Word of God with children. I do believe there are some gray areas that various churches and denominations believe. But I also believe there are fundamental Biblical truths that we all can agree on. These are the truths I am focusing on in this series; the creation of the universe was not just some big accident, Jesus Christ really was and is the son of God, and God made each one of us uniquely special.

God's Creation (from Genesis 1:1-13) also includes an introduction, comprehension questions, a word work activity, and a grammar mini-lesson for parents to use (or save for a later date) at their discretion.Beautiful illustrations are key to early comprehension. Our illustrations will wow both children and adults alike. Written by a veteran 1st grade teacher, these books are unique, relevant, and carefully worded for 5, 6, and 7 year olds.Leveled readers allow your child to read incrementally more challenging text. God's Creation is one of our three easiest leveled readers (the third book of 21). It is appropriate for a child reading at a beginning of first grade level but DOES require the parent to read along with the child to help problem solve some of the more tricky words on the first reading. Me and Thee Studios' Early Reader Collection (21 stories) ranges from beginning of 1st grade to the middle of 2nd grade in national readability.
