Pippi lives in a small town in South Africa where there are no televisions, no newspapers, and most definitely she had never even heard about something called "the internet". Pippi had always wondered if she was different than other children around the world and she secretly hoped she was, because all the children around her looked the same. Then one day a foreigner came to visit her town and gave her a children's book he had written from his travels around the world. This book showed her children from all over the world, what they looked like, the languages they used, and the names of the children. Was Pippi as she had hoped uniquely different or were all the children she would see be just like her?
