Tommy is too little for many things, but can he save the baby in this emergency? One day an infant falls into an abandoned well at the neighborhood park, and none of the adults can reach her. When the difficulty of what will be involved becomes apparent, Tommy has second thoughts and struggles to summon the necessary courage. The story is intended for children ages 4-7 and has 23 illustrations.
