    A true story of a racing greyhound who found purpose in life. Based on a true story of the Authors real ex racing greyhound, Blacktail. Blacktail was adopted through an adoption agency that helps to place rescued race dogs. Blacktail only raced one race, and was disqualified immediately. He was disqualified at the beginning of the race for jumping over the infield rail to chase the geese. This did not make blacktail a desirable racer. An adoption agency contacted the owner about adopting Blacktail. The owner had rescued another greyhound from the same agency a few years earlier. He was adopted in Wisconsin and took an eight hour car ride to his new home in Ohio. Blacktail then lived with the owner, his wife, 10 year old child, another greyhound, and a labrador retriever. Blacktail lived a happy and spoiled life until the age of 13. His personality and story will live on forever.
