Just over the hill stood a shack where the most beautiful woman you ever laid eyes on lived. Her hair was blonde and wavy with eyes as blue as the sky. Her figure would make any man lose his breath. The only thing wrong with this picture was, she's a Witch. Her name is Sarah and an evil Witch at that. Her mother had her out of wedlock. Sarah's mother kept her pregnancy secret from her parent's until one day when her father opened her bedroom door to scold her about something. Her father heard a baby's cry and said, "Did I just hear a baby's cry?"No! No! Father," cried Sarah's Mother. Her father pushed her aside from her closet door. Opened the door and shouted to the top of his lungs. "I want this baby out of my house by morning and that's an order," said her father in an angry voice. Sarah's Mother was only sixteen years old when she had Sarah. Having a baby out of wedlock and especially at sixteen was a disgrace to the family. The next morning Sarah's Mother carried her newborn baby Sarah into town looking for a good home for her daughter. Sarah's Mother came across this shack where a sweet old lady lives. She asked the old woman to take her baby and love her as her own. The old lady accepted and asked her. "Why are you giving up your baby? I'm just an old woman.""My father will kill me and my baby if I don't get rid of this problem. That's his exact words," replied Sarah with a river of tears flowing down her cheeks.Sarah's mother had no idea who the old lady was and if she did she would not have left her in her care.

Audible Audiobook (Bell Bridge Books, Oct. 5, 2012)
Witchcraft is her family's business. No one quits the family and lives to tell about it. 'Jax' Pherson has power, enough power to know her future will end in service to the dark coven her father controls. Unless she can stay hidden in a small community in the mountains of North Carolina. She must find a way to live without magic and deny the darkness she feels welling up inside her - the same dark power that fuels the covens around the world. All she wants is a normal life. A boyfriend. Friends. Some place to belong. But all too soon, Jax's barely begun new life hangs in the balance when she discovers that the boy she's attracted to is sworn to kill her kind. He's a hunter with good reason to kill everything that goes bump in the night. Even the most fleeting use of her power is tantamount to signing her death warrant and will bring both hunter and coven down on her. But can she walk away when her friends are threatened by an old evil? Something created by the magic of witches? Jax's only hope of survival is to convince the boy she loves to forget everything he's ever been taught and help her find a way to fight the covens. To believe there is some good in her.

  • The White Witch of Rosehall

    Herbert G. de Lisser

    (Independently published, March 29, 2020)
White in the golden light of the sun it stood, the Great House of Rosehall. It dominated the landscape; it imposed itself upon the gaze of all who might pass along the road that ran in front of the property; it indicated opulence. Young Rutherford knew that it represented the pride and arrogance of the planter caste which still ruled in Jamaica, and whose word, on its own plantations, carried all the authority and sanction of an arbitrary will scarcely curbed by laws passed in recent years for the protection of the bondsmen. Behind him, a few paces from the outer edge of the road, rolled and glittered a vast expanse of sea, all blue and purple, with snowy breakers rolling lazily to the shore. Above him stretched a vault of azure flecked with clouds. It was eight o’clock in the morning.
