  • The Truth About Men

DeVon Franklin, Simon & Schuster Audio

Audible Audiobook (Simon & Schuster Audio, Feb. 5, 2019)
New York Times best-selling author and Hollywood producer DeVon Franklin speaks out frankly and openly about why men behave the way they do and what everyone - men and women alike - need to know about it. We hear it all the time. Men cheat. Men love power. Men love sex. Men are greedy. Men are dogs. But is this the truth about men? In this groundbreaking book, DeVon Franklin dishes the real Truth About Men by making the compelling case that men aren't dogs, but all men share the same struggle. He uses the metaphor of a dog that needs training as a way to explore why behavior persists in men that can lead them to act against their vows, their integrity, and even their character. DeVon provides the manual for how men can change, both on a personal and a societal level by providing practical solutions for helping men learn how to resist temptation, how to practice self-control, and how to love. He argues the same discipline that drives men in their professional lives needs to be applied to their private lives. DeVon is also transparent about the challenges he faces daily as he endeavors to "Master the Dog" within. But The Truth About Men isn't just for men. DeVon tells female listeners everything they need to know about men. He offers women a real-time understanding of how men's struggle affects them, insights that can help them navigate their relationships with men, and information on how to heal from the damage that some misbehaving men may have inflicted. This book is a raw, informative, and compelling look at an issue that threatens to tear our society apart, yet it offers a positive way forward for men and women alike.

Paloma Rose is 16 years old and the star of one of the most popular TV shows ever. She has millions of fans and is the face of a hugely successful merchandising empire. But having had too much too young, Paloma is growing into a notorious brat and beginning to behave really badly: inappropriate boyfriends, drunken incidents, suggestive photos on the internet. The resulting bad publicity could mean the end of the show and with that the end of the lavish lifestyles her family – and her agent – have grown accustomed to. Then her agent bumps into 16 year old Oona Giness in a coffee shop and, struck by the resemblance, decides to switch Oona for Paloma and trick the wayward brat into going off to a boot camp in the desert which he hopes will sort her out. Oona, who lives with her depressed dad in a run-down apartment block, agrees to the deal in the hope that it’ll turn her life around. She quickly discovers that Hollywood is not for her, though Hollywood much prefers the new Paloma to the old one! And when Paloma finds out she’s been tricked, she breaks out of the camp and heads for home – and revenge.

  • The Truth About Mud:

    Christina L. Rozelle

language (A Spark in the Dark Press, Dec. 31, 2014)
When an evil crow snatches a beloved medallion, young trolls Thistle and Fane have one more reason to venture outside the Clearing. Driven by a thirst for adventure, and anger at their King for sheltering them for far too long, they decide to search for a way across Mangleblood River. What they find will change their lives for all eternity. They soon discover that the ties of friendship are breakable, lies are as real as the mud they stand in, and what they thought would last forever could vanish in the light of the truth.UPDATE ON THIS SERIESThank you so much for your patience with this series. I set this little project aside while I focused on completing The Treemakers Trilogy, but have now begun work on book two in the Mangleblood Rose series. (Yay!) "The Truth About Mangleblood" will be a full-length MG/YA crossover novel that will be appropriate for grades 5 and up, as is book one, "The Truth About Mud." I'd like to say I'll have it ready soon, but this "little" story is no longer a little story (debatable if it ever was). It's one I want to take my time with, but also, I'll be working it simultaneously with a few other immediate projects (YA and Adult genres). I'm aiming for summer of 2018 on this release. If you'd like to be updated as soon as this, and other new release become available, sign up for my newsletter (and get a free YA international bestseller!) here: https://www.instafreebie.com/free/sqCDCHappy reading! <3Christina

    Georgia Bruton

Paperback (CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform, March 10, 2018)
Nine-year-old Bella has a question she's wanted to ask her mom for a long time. It's about her dad who abandoned her and her mother when Bella was just a baby. However, the answer she receives is not one Bella expects. In fact, it alarms her when she discovers her dad has a condition that might be hereditary. Then she finds out her best friend's older sister suffers with the same disease and eventually abandons her family, just like Bella's dad had. Bella worries she may do the same one day. Learning about the disease and consequences, and being assured by a supportive family including a new step-dad, helps Bella cope with the truth about her dad. Not only does this story help reveal how untreated bipolar disorder can affect individuals, but it also emphasizes the importance of family.
