Did you plan that?A - (Laughs) I wish! The concept of Twin Break came to me in a dream. I had to write another book because the main person, Sara, was so interesting. While I was working on the sequel, Friday Night, I realized that it was actually two books. So I set aside the material for Glide, finished Friday Night, then wrote Glide.Q – Why should people read The Glide Series?A - A young person has an interesting challenge: give in to her darkest impulse, or find a way to let go and trust that things will work out. For some people it will be a real release.Q – These three books are different than your other books. Why?A – I really like suspense thrillers. In Friday Night and Glide, I was able to create a thriller inside a book where the setting is sports and the paranormal, in a coming of age, teen-to-young adult setting.Q – Are the books YA or middle grade?A – Not really. The main characters are teens, and anyone above the age of 13 can read and enjoy them, but they do have some adult language and adult situations. Twin Break starts in the teen sports realm, but in Friday Night, Sara's story becomes dark. Glide addresses traumatic childhood issues and the desire for revenge. Friday Night and Glide have a paranormal thriller conclusion, and I think people will find the Glide ending theme interesting.Q – Why basketball?A – Twin Break was set in basketball because the game of basketball moves quickly and the story moves quickly. Friday Night and Glide naturally follow it.Q – Will the series continue?A – Definitely. Sara is growing in so many ways that I may follow her story for a few more years. I'm planning to write a fourth Sara Stefan book after writing a straight thriller.Q – Anything you want to tell people about this series?A – You’ll like it because it moves fast, explores emotions and has a thrilling conclusion.
