He was floating a few feet off the floor and he was moving fast! The Jones kids screamed and ran into the classroom, slamming the door behind them.“Did you - did you…” Addie tried to say, but she was too scared to even talk.Chris nodded, “Yes, I saw him earlier too.”Addie peeked out the small doorway window leading to the hall, looking for the boy.“I don’t want to go out there again, what if he hurts us? That was awful.”“I know,” Chris agreed, “he was tapping my shoulder and pulling my shirt before. He even yelled in my ear.”Addie was still peeking when she jumped back, screaming. The boys face was pressed right against the small window.“Hey guys!!” they heard him yell, “Time for some fun! Come on out!”He wore a big smile and his invitation would have been cheerful - if he wasn’t so pale and hadn’t FLOATED across the floor. He was clearly a ghost.Written by an experienced English language teacher, the Ghost Mystery series are high-interest books perfect for struggling readers.
