The Popsicle Moon
Sean Stratton
(Waxwing Editions, Nov. 1, 2001)
Inspector Clyde, Chief of Detectives, had just begun his daily stroll....when the shadow trap caught him! Madame Montgomery was delighted. In this charming story, we discover why she needed the Inspector's shadow, and why that night was remembered for its" popsicle moon". This story is equipped for the deaf and hard-of-hearing with an American Sign Language video insert, as well as visible text. The video shows Tara Potterveld, a nationally certified sign interpreter, signing the story to coincide with the both the narration and the text. Both the narration by Richard Dysart and the ASL video may be watched at the same time, or either or both may be turned off.
