    eBook
Jewel Draconis is no ordinary teenage girl. Nope. As a matter of fact, she has enough magic in her pinky finger to level the entire town that she lives in, called Charmed Rock. Now, you would think that someone so magical would have a really easy life, but quite the opposite is true for Jewel. Why, you might ask? Well, for one, she lives in a town that just so happens to be full of nonmagical folks. Two, she has no idea what her lineage is, why she has magic, or what she is even capable of, as she has no knowledge of her parents. And three, she is being raised by an evil Sorceress named Gertrude Bile who will avoid doing anything that would benefit Jewel like it’s the plague. She even banned Jewel from doing any type of magic whatsoever, which is as hypocritical as you can get, considering that Gertrude doesn’t hide the fact that she, herself, practices magic on a regular basis. And if that wasn’t enough, Gertrude also makes Jewel’s life as miserable as possible by controlling her every move. Whether it be what Jewel can buy, or what she can eat or drink, or even where she can go within the town's borders- it's all dictated by Gertrude, which ultimately means that Jewel isn’t able to do very much. But one day, Jewel makes the decision to go beyond the border that Gertrude has set, and that one act of defiance quickly becomes the catalyst to her life being turned completely upside down. Jewel finds herself quickly thrust into a new reality and a brand new world she never knew existed. A world where everything she thought to be true is false, and where things she believed were myth are true. Oh, yeah, and she also finds out that her life is very literally hanging in the balance for the simple fact of who and what she is.With the help of some newfound friends, Jewel must somehow learn how to control her powers and defeat Gertrude Bile and her minions, all before her eighteenth birthday which is only a few months away. Jewel must also figure out who can truly be trusted, which is no easy task, because with every passing day she finds out more and more that not everything is as it seems.
