Fifteen-year-old Garnet lives a simple and carefree life in a small village just outside of the kingdom of Cerenth. But a conflict occurs when the Great Bridge, the only path that allowed the people to travel between the two lands, is struck and destroyed by lightning on the night when Garnet plans to leave for her ill grandmother’s house on the other side. With no other choice left, she sets off to her grandmother’s house through the Wood, a cursed forest standing at the edge of her village and is the only other way for anyone to reach the other side. In her venture through the Wood, she encounters a small group of talking animals and a werewolf named Hywel who are all under a witch’s curse. Together, they embark on a journey to escape from the dreaded forest and break the curse on it once and for all. The Girl & the Wolf is a tale of family, friendship, and, talking animals inspired by the beloved fairy tales of ‘Little Red Riding Hood’ and ‘Beauty and the Beast’.
