  • The Fairy With Blue Wings

    Mac McGovern

Paperback (CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform, June 10, 2013)
It was in the land of Guinville in the northwest section of Levellend Forest under a tall broad hollow of a tree, in the village of Brownsville, in the house of Barkley, was born a very tiny fairy with blue wings. “Oh dear,” exclaimed the Doctor, “this cannot be!” as he raced to get out of the room. Mr. Barkley shielded his wife’s eyes to prevent her seeing the baby fairy that had just been born to his house. Tears running down his face, he said, “my darling wife, our child is born with blue wings; she is different, she will be banned forever. She cannot be allowed to live in our home; we are disgraced.” Sobbing hysterically, Mrs. Barkley gave the baby her name, and then handed the child to her husband. It was the name she and her husband had decided upon before she was born.
