First produced in this format in 1970, these are later printings, but retain the illustrations adapted from the work of Pauline Baynes. Condition on the mass market paperback books themselves ranges from Near Fine-Fine, with the exception of Book 1, which is downgraded to only Good due to creasing to the front cover & heavier page tanning. The other 6 books are only very mildly tanned, with NO creases or edgewear; all appear Never Read! NO writing, highlighting, or underlining, NOT ex-lib. The box is solidly VG: colors bright, very white, only flaw is a tiny (1/2") tear to 1 corner & modest rubbing all around. A very nice set!
