Out in the stone stables the groomsmen were busy cleaning out a stall. Tomorrow was little Annabelle's birthday. Lord Percy had bought a snowy white pony for her birthday surprise! Their friends from Scotland were bringing it down in the morning. The morning sun came slowly rising over the horizon. Bright Star quickly climbed up close to where he could get a good look at the mother eagle and her brood. The sharp eyes of the mother eagle quickly saw Bright Star and let out a piercing scream that echoed across the mountains. This was a warning for him not to come any nearer to her eaglets. He highly respected her protective nature for her young.
