‘The dragon gave a loud roar of pain and let go of the Wolfhound. They were still flying high above the Castle, when Rufus began his long fall. Gregory could only stand and stare and felt cold with fear, because he knew that hitting the ground from that height would almost certainly kill his companion.’ It is early in the 13th century, in the north of England and the story begins in the Earl’s Castle. Gregory, the Earl’s son and Rufus his trusty Wolfhound companion, face further dangers, as the Green Dragon is seeking revenge and is not the only one trying to steal the ‘Green Eye of the Saracen’ – a priceless emerald, with magical powers. This latest adventure takes Gregory and Rufus, far from the safety of their Castle to the high seas, where they find themselves captured by pirates and shipwrecked.
