Livia has never felt like she fits in. As normal as it sounds, Livia is anything but ordinary. She can feel every emotion of every single person around her, and it’s maddening. In pursuit of some psychic quiet, she moves with her family from New York City to Whidbey Island in the lush and sleepy Pacific Northwest. But when a horseback riding accident in her new home gives her a broken leg that heals in a day, she finds that another unexplainable ability has manifested, and her life isn’t about to get any easier. Adam has no problem fitting in and making friends. In fact, he’s the top of the school, the boy everyone knows and loves. However, people only see what he allows them to. No one knows what Adam is truly capable of. After witnessing Livia’s accident, Adam sees something intriguing in her quick recovery, something that gives him hope that he’s not alone. Adam is the only one whose emotions Livia can’t read. Afraid of not knowing what goes on behind his dark eyes, Livia decides to keep him at a distance. Yet the more she tries to ignore him, the more alluring he becomes, and while their personal quests for identity will inevitably bring them closer together, it is the confirmation of what they really are that threatens to tear them apart. Resilient, told in alternating point of views, is a gripping paranormal love story of survival and romance, in which two teenagers face the consequences of being anything but normal.

    Dr Aaron Laird

    (Lulu.com, Sept. 16, 2014)
Aaron's poetry is very engaging. It takes you somewhere deep into the mind and connects you straight to his heart. I highly recommend taking the time and indulge in his creative world. A good place to start is here... Aaron's will to survive and deal with the cards life has thrown at him is something I can not put into words other than to say that I would find it extremely difficult to do half of what he has achieved. A man that we can all learn from and one exceptional special human being. Listen to his words and let them resonate with your life. Everything becomes so much clearer and simple when viewed with this mans eyes. -Damien Reilly, Director and Founder of Blue Pie Productions USA
  • Resilient!

    Anaji The Author

    eBook (, April 21, 2018)
What if you and your spouse have been kidnapped? The kidnappers have committed a murder right in front of you, in your own home? What if a person died while trying to defend you? What would you do? These are the questions that community role model Charles Champion must resolve. Before the incident, Charles, the protagonist of the story, was able to live out his dreams at a young age, despite the many discouraging situations that surrounded his life. Growing up in the ghetto was a struggle, but having a mother in and out of jail was not easy for him to deal with. During his teens, his uncle Jay had been there for him and his little brother; but Jay’s alcoholism only made the home more dysfunctional; which made Charles more determined to make a good life for himself and his family. Unlike his two best friends, Charles completed High School. When most would have given up, he pressed on. However, he is faced with jealousy, envy, betrayal and even hate.

  • Painful Resilience

    Shaun Bowen

    language (, April 24, 2013)
Based on how life can change dramaticaly after serious injury incurred from a term of military service. It outlines the confussion and unsurity left within a mind and identifies the vast emotions that are left to coincide with the pain and suffering that continues well after the event. It aims to place you as the reader into a posistion that will allow you to identify and possibly how a person has no options but to draw on their own resilience of character to overcome the effects of unwanted self adjustment and the feelings of total deciept and hurt. It tells of the distress and loss of inner self respect that follows on through a number of occurences and how friendships are put on hold as they are not always what they seem to be. It outlines how each effort made to live with a little dignity becomes another wall to climb with sheer determination to find a little self respect and aove all, some form of family value only to find that it becomes another burden to bear. The book aims to inform the reader that not all that is stated to an injured person becomes a reality and discribes how many of the tormets from the injury are overlooked by agencies designed to help leaving a number of empty spaces that cannot e rectified or placed into a logical pattern. Many of the nightmares and bad dreams told in the book are only now being recognised, a bit late for the few who have had to rely on their own painful resilience to continue in lifes mapped out course to fulfill their life destiny...
