This is a story about what happens when two Florida teens are introduced to a whole new world through their encounter with an unlikely interstellar traveler. Vance and Marla's typical, ordinary lives are forever changed when the princess literally lands in their backyard while fleeing strife on her homeworld. Princess So'la, In My World is a story of heroes and villians, earthlings and aliens, kings and queens, and of course...parents and children. A. Stanford was born in Philadelphia to a mom who instilled a respect for words and a love of artistic expression in her children at an early age. Ms. Stanford retired from civil service in 2014 in order to pursue the idea of writing fantasy stories for young and young-at-heart readers. Growing up mostly in sunny South Florida and equipped with a fertile imagination, Ms. Stanford developed a life long love of books and reading. Science fiction/fantasy and super hero stories became a favorite indulgence along with music and art. Ms. Stanford has a long and diverse list of favorite writers that range from J.R.R. Tolkien, to Charles Dickens, Walter Mosley, J.K. Rowling, John Steinbeck and John Grisham, just to name a few. Ms. Stanford still lives in Florida with her two sons and a cat named Sammy. Her motto is, "who says we have to grow all the way up?"
